There’s something rather wonderful about watching a plant grow. It doesn’t wake up one morning and decide it ought to be taller, greener or further along than the plants around it. It simply grows.

A new leaf here. A little more height there. Quiet changes that are almost impossible to notice from one day to the next.

And then, one day, you look again and realise just how far it’s come.

Perhaps we’re not so different. Because life has a funny way of making us believe that, by a certain age, we ought to have everything figured out. We should know who we are, where we’re going and what we want from the years ahead.

But the truth is, we’re always changing. We’re learning new things, letting go of old ideas, discovering different parts of ourselves and occasionally surprising ourselves with what we’re capable of.

And isn’t that rather lovely?

The pendant is attached to an 18 inch sterling silver belcher chain.
